Finding Love in this lifetime…
a major blessing.
Keeping Love in this lifetime…
requires our constant care and affection.
One of my favorite poems by Anais Nin …
“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.”
We have to water and nourish our relationships to see the flowers bloom. And just like the flowers and trees. There are seasons of death and rebirth. It is a miracle to find true love in this lifetime and it is even more so a miracle to continue the bountiful harvest of love through the seasons of life. When asking ourselves why did a relationship wither away, we have to ask ourselves, what did we do to keep the landscape flourishing. Love is always a choice. It is a wonderful, beautiful feeling but that feeling just like any can be carried away in the wind, destroyed in a tornado, and burned by the fire. That leads me to this. In order to keep our love alive in our lives, we have to continue to feed it. Continue to caress it and keep it warm. It’s an endeavor, a journey just as life is. Our choices shape our relationships. We must constantly be conscious of the give and take. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings, yet know that there is much to see and do in between the lines. Along with the lust there must be trust. Along with the hope we must understand it’s scope. This love thing we all fantasize about in our heads is the realest energy there is, and as we all know in real life anything we’ve ever wanted to receive or accomplish took great effort on our parts.
So when we find ourselves blessed enough to find someone whom loves us and we truly love. Let’s just give it the attention it requires. It will only bless us to choose to do so.
